Samsung Officially Unveils the Galaxy Watch FE: Price, Features, and Release Date

Following numerous recent leaks, Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy Watch FE today. This is the first FE product in the Galaxy Watch series, essentially a rebranded Galaxy Watch4.

The Galaxy Watch FE is priced at $199 and will be released on June 24. One notable difference is that the Watch FE features sapphire glass over its screen, an upgrade from the Gorilla Glass DX+ used in the Watch4. Additionally, the Watch FE is available in only one size – 40mm, unlike the Watch4, which also had a 44mm model.

The Galaxy Watch FE comes with an aluminum case, a 1.2-inch 396×396 Super AMOLED touchscreen, the Exynos W920 processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a 247 mAh battery. It runs on Wear OS with Samsung’s One UI 5 Watch interface.

The watch has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, a 5ATM rating for diving, and a MIL-STD-810H rating for durability. It includes Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS/Glonass/Beidou/Galileo, the Samsung BioActive Sensor (which includes optical heart rate, electrical heart, and bioimpedance analysis), an accelerometer, a barometer, a gyro sensor, a geomagnetic sensor, and a light sensor.

The Galaxy Watch FE supports tracking for over 100 different workouts, advanced running analysis, personalized heart rate zones, body composition analysis, advanced sleep tracking with sleep pattern monitoring, and sleep coaching. It also offers Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification for detecting atrial fibrillation, and the ability to measure blood pressure and ECG.

The Galaxy Watch FE will be available on June 24 for $199 in black, pink gold, and silver. The LTE model, priced at $249.99, will arrive in October.
